Overview

The MACS® Tissue Storage Solution has been developed to allow an optimized storage of fresh organ and tissue samples without showing background effects like cell activation or apoptosis induction. It has been tested and validated on a variety of human and murine tissues including tumors, skin, heart, spleen, brain, and skeletal muscle.

Details

Applications

The storage of organs or tissue samples may be required if material has to be collected from multiple origins, at different time points, or if it cannot be directly processed. During this storage period necrosis and apoptosis must be avoided and cells like stem cells need to be prevented to lose their functional capacities. Immune cells may be activated causing a bias in downstream analysis during storage.
