MACS GMP CD8-APC consists of a mouse monoclonal antibody against the CD8 antigen conjugated to Allophycocyanin (APC). The CD8 antibody (clone BW135/80) recognizes the CD8 antigen, which is a disulfide-linked dimer, existing either as a CD8 α homodimer or as a CD8 α/β heterodimer.
Leu-2, Ly-2, T8
MACS GMP Products are for research use and ex vivo cell culture processing only, and are not intended for human in vivo applications. For regulatory status in the USA, please contact your local representative.
The CD8 antigen is present on 20-30% of human peripheral blood lymphocytes. CD8 is strongly expressed on CD8 positive T cells and thymocytes and dimly on a subset of NK cells and CD8 positive γ/δ Τ cells. CD8 acts as a co-receptor with MHC class I-restricted T cell receptors in antigen recognition.
Labeling of CD8 antigen on human cells.
MACS GMP Products are manufactured and tested under a quality management system (ISO 13485) and are in compliance with relevant GMP guidelines. They are designed following the recommendations of USP <1043> on ancillary materials.
A leukapheresis sample was labeled with MACS® GMP CD8-APC and with CD3-VioGreen for gating purposes. Cells were analyzed by flow cytometry using the MACSQuant Analyzer 10. Cell debris and dead cells were excluded from the analysis based on scatter signals and propidium iodide fluorescence. Viable lymphocytes were further gated on CD3+ cells.
