MACS GMP CD4 Fluorescent Antibodies consist of a mouse monoclonal antibody against the human CD4 antigen conjugated to a fluorochrome. They are developed for flow cytometric identification and flow cytometric sorting of CD4 positive cells.

CD4 is highly expressed on human T helper cells and thymocytes, and at lower levels on monocytes and dendritic cells. It is responsible for the recognition of the MHC Class II antigen.
MACS GMP CD4 Fluorescent Antibodies are for identification of CD4 positive cells by flow cytometry as well as cell enrichment by flow cytometric sorting.
MACS GMP Products are manufactured and tested under a quality management system (ISO 13485) and are in compliance with relevant GMP guidelines. They are designed following the recommendations of USP <1043> on ancillary materials.
A leukapheresis sample was labeled with MACS® GMP CD4-PerCP and with CD45-VioGreen for gating purposes. Cells were analyzed by flow cytometry using the MACSQuant Analyzer 10. Cell debris and dead cells were excluded from the analysis based on scatter signals and DAPI fluorescence. Viable lymphocytes were further gated on CD45+ cells.
