MACS® Technology offers the opportunity to separate cells from a wide range of materials. Defined cell types can be isolated using, for example:
human whole blood,
mononuclear cells derived from peripheral blood, cord blood, or bone marrow,
granulocytes derived from peripheral blood,
single-cell suspensions derived from lymphoid or neural tissues and
many other solid tissues,
single-cell suspensions derived from cell cultures.
Single-cell suspensions with high viability rates and low amounts of debris are the basis for excellent cell separation results. Detailed and easy-to-follow protocols support your sample preparation prior to cell separation:
Manual sample preparation
Automated tissue dissocation
Before cell separation you may need to perform density-gradient centrifugation as well as manual tissue preparation. We provide protocols for you to perform these steps efficiently. more details...
The gentleMACS™ Dissociators and MACS Tissue Dissociation Kits allow the reliable preparation of single-cell suspensions with high viability from virtually any tissue. more details...
