Anti-MHC Class II MicroBeads
Overview
Mouse Anti-MHC Class II MicroBeads are used for the positive selection or depletion of MHC class II+ cells from lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissue or from blood.
Details
Background information
MHC class II is expressed on B cells, macrophages, monocytes, dendritic cells, thymic epithelial cells, and on subsets of hematopoietic progenitor cells. The MicroBeads bind to MHC class II haplotypes I-Ab, I-Ad, I-Aq, I-Ed, and I-Ek, which are expressed by the most common inbred mouse strains, e.g. C57BL/6, BALB/c, or 129/SvEv. MHC II haplotypes I-Af, I-Ak, and I-As are not recognized.

Downstream applications
Isolated MHC class II+ cells are suitable for studies on antigen presentation such as in T cell stimulation assays. Anti-MHC Class II MicroBeads were used for positive selection of Langerhans cells from epidermis1, for the isolation of untouched T cells from lymph nodes by depletion of MHC class II+ cells2, or in combination with other MicroBeads for isolation of untouched T cells from spleen3,4.
Columns
For positive selection: MS, LS, XS, or autoMACS® Columns; for depletion: LD, CS, D, or autoMACS Columns.
