Stemgent® Purified Mouse anti-Human CD166 Antibody
Description
Stemgent® Purified Mouse anti-Human CD166 Antibody was screened on normal human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) by flow cytometry (FC) and selected as the best CD166 antibody for characterizing and/or isolating human mesenchymal stem cells. CD166, also known as ALCAM (activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with five extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains. It facilitates heterophilic (ALCAM-CD6) and homophilic (ALCAM-ALCAM) cell-cell interactions. While expressed in a wide variety of tissues and cells, ALCAM is restricted to subsets of cells usually involved in dynamic growth and/or migration processes1-2. It is one of the essential surface molecules expressed on human MSCs from bone marrow and other sources3-5.
