Stemfect™ Enhanced hESC DNA Transfection Kit
Description
The Stemfect™ Enhanced hESC DNA Transfection Kit is a highly efficient, non-cytotoxic, and easy to use polymer-based transfection kit specifically designed for in vitro DNA transfection of human embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. The Stemfect™ 3.0 transfection reagent, included in the kit, is a biodegradable beta-amino polymer that, with its unique structural features, complexes with DNA plasmid to facilitate entry into the cell and nucleus leading to high levels of gene expression. Addition of the ROCK inhibitor, Stemolecule™ Y27632, in the Stemfect™ transfection protocol results in >2-fold higher transfection efficiency and a significantly higher cell viability of human ES and iPS cells over conventional methods such as electroporation or lipid based reagents.
