Stemgent® Oct4-GFP MEF (P2)
Description
Stemgent® Oct4-GFP mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) harbor a GFP reporter gene downstream of exon 5 of the endogenous Oct4 locus. Upregulation of the endogenous Oct4 pluripotency locus results in expression of GFP. The Stemgent® Oct4-GFP MEF (P2) reprogramming control cell line was developed in the lab of Rudolf Jaenisch, M.D., at the Whitehead Institute at MIT.
Applications
GFP expression can be used to monitor the pluripotency of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) colonies resulting from the cellular reprogramming of this control cell line
