Stemgent® mRNA Reprogramming Kit
Description
The Stemgent mRNA Reprogramming Kit contains three essential components for productive non-integrative reprogramming: the Stemgent mRNA Reprogramming Factors: OSKM, the Stemgent Pluriton™ Reprogramming Medium and B18R recombinant protein, carrier-free. Stemgent functionally validates all three components together. The in vitro transcribed mRNA’s encoding Oct4, Klf4, Sox2, c-Myc, Lin-28 factors and the nuclear GFP (nGFP) control, fluorescent reporter incorporate both pseudouridine and 5-methylcytidine-modified nucleotides, and when used in combination with the B18R recombinant protein minimize the cellular interferon response to single stranded RNA.1,2 Repeated transfection of mRNA encoding Oct4, Klf4, Sox2, c-Myc and Lin-28 has been shown to reprogram human fibroblasts.3 nGFP mRNA is included for use as a positive control for RNA transfection during the cellular reprogramming process. In addition, the Pluriton Reprogramming Medium is a xeno-free medium included in the kit that was designed to support the robust and reproducible mRNA reprogramming of human fibroblasts.
