| Description |
| Stemolecule™ LY294002 is a selective, cell permeable, specific inhibitor of PI3 kinase1. Studies have revealed the the PI3/AKT/mTOR signaling pathways are important in self-renewal and in differentiation in both human (hESC) and mouse (mESC) embryonic stem cells. In mESC, LY294002 prevents self-renewal by inhibiting LIF2. In the case of myeloid progenitor cell proliferation, LY294002 increases proliferation. It is proposed that this occurs through an induced production and release of Wnt proteins3. |
