| Description |
| Stemolecule™ A769662 is a cell-permeable small molecule that activates AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). A769662, a thienopyridone, was identified as an effective AMPK activator by screening a chemical library of over 700,000 compounds1. The activation of AMPK inhibits mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) signaling, which is a positive affector of cell growth, proliferation and survival2. Stemolecule™ A769662, therefore, may be useful as an inhibitor for both cell survival and cell proliferation. |
