| Description |
| Stemolecule™ Ku-006379 is a highly specific small molecule inhibitor of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR)1. The mTOR protein kinase lies at the center of signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and proliferation. Ku-006379 suppresses cell growth and induces a G1 cell cycle arrest by inhibiting two mTOR complexes, mTOR1 and mTOR2, but does not inhibit a large number of other protein kinases1. Since mTOR positively affects protein synthesis and consequently affects both cell survival and cell proliferation, Stemolecule™ Ku-0063794 may be useful in studies in these areas. |
