| Overview |
The CD133/2 (AC141) antibodies allow for the identification and enumeration of CD133+ cells by flow cytometry. - Hematopoietic stem cells from peripheral blood, cord blood, bone marrow, or leukapheresis product.
- Neural progenitor cells from single-cell suspensions from primary neural tissues or cell lines.
- ES and iPS cell derived neural, endothelial, or hematopoietic progenitors from differentiated ES or iPS cell cultures.
- Cancer stem cells from single-cell suspensions from primary tumor tissue or cell lines.

Background information CD133/2 (AC141) antibodies recognize epitope 2 of the human CD133 antigen (CD133/2). CD133 is a marker that is frequently found on multipotent progenitor cells, including immature hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. in human fetal liver, bone marrow, cord blood, and peripheral blood. CD133 has also been found to be expressed on circulating endothelial progenitor cells, tissue-specific stem cells, cancer stem cells from tumor tissues, as well as ES and iPS cell-derived cells. |

| Human CD133+ cells were isolated from non-mobilized peripheral blood cells using CD133 MicroBead Kit. Cells were stained with CD133/2 (AC141)-PE and CD34-FITC (clone AC136), and analyzed by flow cytometry. |
