| Description |
| The Stemgent™ Mouse/Human ES/iPS Cell Nuclear Marker Set is a specific and sensitive, stem cell-tested tool designed to analyze the undifferentiated state of embryonic stem (ES) and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Mouse/Human ES and iPS cells are of extensive research interest because of their ability to proliferate in vitro while maintaining their pluripotent nature, and their unique differentiation potential for future therapeutic use. While the undifferentiated/pluripotent state of ES cells can best be defined functionally, identification and characterization of ES and iPS cells by their unique biomarker(s) are extremely important to assess the quality of the cells in culture and the efficiency of cell reprogramming. The undifferentiated/ pluripotent state of ES and iPS cells can be characterized by high level expression of the transcription factors Nanog, Oct4, and Sox2. The three Stemgent™ antibodies included in this set have been verified by their performance in immunocytochemistry (ICC), flow cytometry (FC), or western blot (WB) applications on both human and mouse ES cells to ensure the highest quality antibodies. |
