Description
Mouse CD8a (Ly-2) MicroBeads have been developed for positive selection or depletion of mouse CD8a+ T cells from single-cell suspensions of lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissues or from peripheral blood.
Details
Background information The CD8a antigen is expressed on most thymocytes, almost all cytotoxic T cells, and on subpopulations of dendritic cells. CD8a functions as an accessory molecule in the recognition of MHC class I/peptide complexes by the TCR heterodimer on cytotoxic CD8a+ T cells. Downstream applications Purified CD8a+ cells have been used for in vitro and in vivo studies on protective immune responses against parasites1,2 or allergens3 and for adoptive transfer into immunodeficient4,5 and virus-infected mice.6 Highly pure CD8+ T cells were also isolated from the CNS of MHV-infected mice for evaluation of their chemokine expression pattern.7 Furthermore, CD8a MicroBeads have been used for the isolation of CD8+CD4+ (DP) thymocytes and the effect of PD-1 expression on their maturation was studied.8
