| Overview |
Fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF-2), also termed basic FGF, belongs to the family of heparin-binding growth factors. FGF-2 functions as a wide-spectrum mitogenic, angiogenic, and neurotrophic factor and stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal, and endothelial cells.
MACS GMP Recombinant Human FGF-2 is designed for ex vivo cell culture processing. No animal- or human-derived materials were used for the manufacture of this product. The product is lyophilized without carrier protein or preservatives. |

Applications
MACS GMP Recombinant Human FGF-2 can be used for a variety of applications, including the culture of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells1,2 or the expansion of mesenchymal stromal cells3,4.
