| Overview |
Anti-GITR – functional grade is suitable for use in in vitro and in vivo functional assays. The antibody is free of azide and preservatives. Endotoxin level is <0.01 ng/µg protein as tested by LAL assay.
Reported applications of clone DTA-1 include - in vitro costimulation of T cells,
- in vivo GITR stimulation,
- abrogation of regulatory T cell function.

Background information Clone DTA-1 specifically recognizes mouse GITR (Glucocorticoid-induced TNF-receptor), a member of the TNF receptor superfamily1 also known as TNFRSF182. It is expressed at low levels on resting T lymphocytes and at high levels on CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Tregs). Activation of T cells upregulates GITR expression. Interaction of GITR with its ligand (GITRL) has been demonstrated to augment T cell activation, proliferation, cytokine production, as well as MAPKs and NF-κB activation. GITR plays an important role in the function of CD4+CD25+ Tregs.3 |
