|
| Description |
The CD271 (LNGFR) MicroBead Kit is an indirect labeling system for the immunomagnetic isolation of CD271 (LNGFR)+ cells. The kit includes all necessary reagents for fluorescent labeling (CD271 (LNGFR)-PE or -APC) and indirect magnetic labeling (Anti-PE or -APC MicroBeads) of CD271 (LNGFR)+ cells, as well as FcR Blocking Reagent for the prevention of unspecific labeling via Fc receptors. CD271, also known as LNGFR (low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor), NGFR (nerve growth factor receptor), or p75NTR (neurotrophin receptor), belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. CD271 (LNGFR) was initially described to be expressed on cells of the nervous system and was suggested to be involved in the development, survival, and differentiation of neural cells.1 CD271 (LNGFR) can be found in the central and peripheral nervous system on autonomic and sensory neurons2 as well as on glial cells, including oligodendrocytes3, astrocytes4, Schwann cells5,6, and neural crest precursors7. |
| Applications |
Positive selection or depletion of cells expressing human CD271 (LNGFR). Positive selection of neural cells, including neural crest cells, motor neurons, and Schwann cells. |
