| CYTOMATE Cell Processing System |
|
| Description |
The CYTOMATE cell processing system is a CE-marked1, automated, functionally closed system cell washer with the flexibility to process small to large volumes of white cell products and the capability to act as a fluid transfer device. The system consists of sterile, single-use disposable sets, attachments, and a microprocessor controlled instrument that enables the user to perform a standard cell washing and fluid transfer procedure and to customize up to 100 protocols.
The underlying technology - the patented spinning-membrane technology - is the same as in the ISOLEX system: a spinning membrane with a defined pore size, which is an integral part of the sterile disposable. The spinning membrane ensures cell filtration against a counter-flow buffer circulation and is connected to different bags in a functionally closed system.
Applications of the CYTOMATE system include washing of apheresis products and cell cultures, washing and volume reduction of expansion products as well as incubation and washing of small molecules.
1In the US, the CYTOMATE system is for laboratory use only. |
