Multi-8 & Multi-96 Columns

Multi-8 Columns and Multi-96 Columns are MACS® Column strips for molecular applications on the MultiMACS™ 96 Separation Unit. They are used for small-scale isolations with MACS MicroBeads in molecular biology and protein biochemistry. This includes mRNA isolation, immunoprecipitation, purification of DNA binding proteins, or protein interaction studies using cell lysates from up to 10⁷ cells. Additionally, Multi-8/96 Columns allow to isolate large molecular complexes, display libraries, organelles, or viruses. Multi-8 and Multi-96 Columns are provided with Deep Well Blocks, 2.5 mL, for collection of flow-through and wash fractions, and with microtiter plates for gathering and storage of eluates. To collect flow-through and wash fractions individually, further Deep Well Blocks are also available in packages of six.

Multi-8 Columns are individually, sterile packed. Up to 12 Multi-8 Columns fit into a MultiColumn Frame with microtiter plate (MTP) format allowing robotic handling. The column strips enable a flexible number of parallel isolations to be carried out in multiples of eight, up to a maximum of 96 isolations. One package unit of Multi-8 Columns contains 12 Multi-8 Columns, one MultiColumn Frame, one Deep Well Block, 2.5 mL, and one Microtiter Plate, U-bottom, each with adhesive sealing foil.

Multi-96 Columns are individually, sterile packed together with a Deep Well Block, 2.5 mL. The column unit has a microtiter plate (MTP) format enabling robotic handling. One package of Multi-96 Columns includes four Multi-96 Columns with four Deep Well Blocks, 2.5 mL, and four Microtiter Plates U-bottom, with adhesive sealing foils.
