Description
CD33 MicroBeads have been developed for separation of cells based on the expression of the CD33 antigen. The CD33 antigen is brightly expressed on monocytes and dimly on granulocytes and dendritic cells. The CD33 antigen is also found on myeloid progenitor cells but is not expressed on lymphocytes, platelets, erythrocytes, and primitive hematopoietic stem cells.
Applications
CD33+ cells can be enriched from PBMCs, bone marrow1,2, or tissues.3 Additionally, the CD33 antigen can be used to distinguish acute myeloid leukemias from lymphoblastic leukemias.
