Description
Immunoglobulins (Ig) produced by B cells are composed of two heavy and two light chains, connected by disulfide bonds. Differences in the composition of the heavy chain constant regions determine the isotype of the antibody. The light chains of all isotypes are either of κ or λ subtype. Clone IS7-24C7 detects human Ig light chains of the λ subtype. Heavy chains and κ light chains are not detected. This antibody is tested to cross-react with rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) and cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis) cells.
Applications
Identification and enumeration of non-human primate cells expressing immunoglobulins with λ light chains by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.
