| Description |
| Clone TĂśK4 is specific for human CD14, though cross-reacts with rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) and cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis) CD14. The CD14 antigen is part of the functional heteromeric LPS receptor complex comprised of CD14, TLR4, and MD-2. CD14 is strongly expressed on most human monocytes and macrophages in peripheral blood, other body fluids, and various tissues such as lymph nodes and spleen. CD14 is weakly expressed on subpopulations of human neutrophils and myeloid dendritic cells. Clone TĂśK4 recognizes rhesus monkey and cynomolgus monkey monocytes. The antibody has also been reported to cross-react with pigtail monkey (Macaca nemestrina) and cotton-top tamarin (Sanguinus oedipus oedipus) monocytes1, as well as with pig, cow, sheep, goat, dog, mink, and rabbit cells2. |
| Applications |
The CD14 antibody can be used to identify and enumerate CD14+ cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. This antibody is suitable for MACS® Control applications. For further details, please refer to the data sheet of the separation reagent. |
