| Description |
The CD11b antibody is specific for the human CD11b antigen, though it also recognizes mouse, rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta), and cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis) CD11b. CD11b is part of the CD11b/CD18 heterodimer (Mac-1), also known as the C3 complement receptor. It is strongly expressed on human myeloid cells and weakly on NK cells and some activated lymphocytes. The CD11b antigen is also expressed on mouse macrophages, granulocytes, NK cells, B1 cells, and a subset of dendritic cells. It functions as a receptor for complement (C3bi), fibrinogen, or clotting factor X. |
| Applications |
| The CD11b antibody can be used to identify and enumerate cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. This antibody is suitable for MACS® Control applications. For further details, please refer to the data sheet of the separation reagent. |
