| Description |
Clone LT2 is specific for the human CD2 antigen, a 50 kDa single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein, though also recognizes non-human primate CD2. The antigen belongs to the Ig superfamily and is involved in cell signaling and lymphocyte adhesion. Clone LT2 recognizes rhesus monkey (Macaca mulatta) and cynomolgus monkey (Macaca fascicularis) T cells and a subset of NK cells, and has also been reported to cross-react with a subset of PBMCs from chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) and squirrel monkey (Saimiri sciureus).1

| Applications |
The CD2 antibody can be used to identify and characterize CD2+ cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. This antibody is suitable for MACS® Control applications. For further details, please refer to the data sheet of the separation reagent. |
