Description
Clone AC141 recognizes epitope 2 of the human CD133 antigen (CD133/2). The CD133 antigen is expressed on stem and progenitor cells with hematopoietic and nonhematopoietic differentiation potential. Four monoclonal antibodies recognizing the CD133 antigen are available: clone AC133 (mouse IgG1), W6B3C1 (mouse IgG1), 293C3 (mouse IgG2b), and AC141 (mouse IgG1). These antibodies recognize two different epitopes CD133/1 (AC133) and CD133/2 (clone 293C3 and clone AC141), respectively.
Applications
CD133/2 (AC141) is suitable for the evaluation of cells isolated with the CD133 MicroBead Kit, human. Furthermore, it is useful in studies of hematopoiesis, phenotyping of hematopoietic stem cells and hematologic malignancies, and for the analysis of nonhematopoietic stem cells.

Figure 1
Human CD133+ cells were isolated from non-mobilized peripheral blood cells using CD133 MicroBead Kit. Cells were stained with CD133/2 (AC141)-PE and CD34-FITC (clone AC136), and analyzed by flow cytometry.
