| Carcinoma Cell Detection Kit |
|
| Description |
The Carcinoma Cell Detection Kit provides a reliable research tool for the rapid and highly specific immunocytochemical detection of epithelial tumor cells. Epithelium-derived tumor cells are intracellularly stained according to the expression of cytokeratins. The ready-to-use kit contains Anti-Cytokeratin-Alkaline Phosphatase, fixation and permeabilization reagents, as well as alkaline phosphatase substrate tablets for specific immunocytochemical staining. Air-dried cytospin preparations are ready for microscopy within 90 minutes. The detection reagent Anti-Cytokeratin-Alkaline Phosphatase is a cocktail of two cytokeratin-specific antibody clones, CK3-11D5 and CK3-3E4, which are directly conjugated to alkaline phosphatase. CK3-11D5 is a multi-cytokeratin–specific antibody which recognizes cytokeratins 7, 8, 18, and 19. It crossblocks binding of Cam5.2, an antibody known to be specific for cytokeratins 7 and 8. CK3-3E4 binds specifically to cytokeratin 8. It almost completely crossblocks A45-B/B3, an antibody known to recognize cytokeratin heterodimers 8/18 and 8/19. |
| Applications |
| The Carcinoma Cell Detection Kit can be used for the detection of disseminated epithelial tumor cells from blood or bone marrow. It can also be used after enrichment of epithelial tumor cells from samples of non-epithelial origin. |
