Description
Clone HEA-125 recognizes CD326, a 40 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion. CD326 is also known as EpCAM, epithelial-specific antigen (ESA), and human epithelial antigen (HEA). The CD326 antigen is broadly expressed on the basolateral surface of carcinoma and epithelial cells but is not found on melanoma, neuroblastoma, sarcoma, lymphoma, leukemia cells, or normal fibroblasts.
Applications
CD326 (EpCAM) antibodies are suitable for direct immunofluorescent staining of human epithelial cells and carcinoma cells in non-epithelial tissue, for example, in peripheral blood or bone marrow. CD326 (EpCAM)–labeled cells can be analyzed by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.
