The PIQORâ„¢ Skin Microarray is part of Miltenyi Biotec's dermatology research program. The microarray configuration is based on own gene expression data, literature data, as well as the experience of cooperation partners in the dermatology centers. PIQOR Skin Microarray mainly reflects the expression profile of healthy skin. Furthermore, it contains relevant marker genes that play a role in skin cancers and inflammatory skin diseases.
The selected genes are associated with acute cell toxicity, apoptosis, gene toxicity, malignant transformation, and inflammation. In addition to structural proteins, the collection comprises genes related to stress, energy metabolism, signal transduction, DNA repair and metabolism, transcription and growth factors, ligands, as well as surface proteins.
Gene expression profiling experiments enable, for example, the characterization of skin biopsies, skin models, and toxicological screenings in the field of skin care and skin treatment.
PIQOR Skin Microarray is available as a convenient microarray kit or within the scope of Microarray Service. Please see download area for "Further information" On request—please inquire delivery time. |
