Description
Chondrocytes play a vital role in the development and healing of bone as well as other structural tissues in the body. Therefore, chondrocytes are focus of tissue engineering research in diseases such as osteochondrodysplasias, non-union fractures, and osteoarthritis. The elucidation of the mechanisms of chondrocyte development and regulation (chondrogenesis) remains a crucial focus in such reserch, and the use of optimized culture media for the efficient and reproducible generation of chondrocytes is requisite.
Applications
The NH ChondroDiff Medium is an optimized differentiation medium for the generation of chondrocytes from human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). It is suitable for the analysis or quality control of the differentiation capacity of expanded MSCs, or in vitro studies into the processes involved in MSC differentiation to chondrocytes, including gene expression or protein profiling.
