MACSelect™ LNGFR System
The MACSelect™ LNGFR System uses the truncated human low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor (LNGFR) molecule as a marker to select transfected cells. It can be used in virtually all LNGFR-negative cell lines and primary cells. The LNGFR molecule is expressed in the central and peripheral nervous system, on bone marrow fibroblasts, follicular dendritic cells, and some mesenchymal cells.

pMACS LNGFR-IRES allows the bicistronic expression of the gene-of-interest and the truncated LNGFR molecule: with the IRES element (internal ribosomal entry site), the gene-of-interest is translated from the same mRNA as the selection marker LNGFR.
The pMACS LNGFR vector encoding the truncated LNGFR surface marker is used for cotransfection in combination with a gene-of-interest expression vector.

The MACSelect LNGFR Transfected Cell Selection Kit provides the vectors, MACSelect MicroBeads, and fluorochrome-conjugated antibodies, including control vectors and antibodies required to set up and establish the MACSelect System. All kit components are also available separately.
Columns
For positive selection: MS, LS, or autoMACS® Columns.
