Mouse Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads
Description
Mouse Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads have been developed for the positive selection or depletion of B cells according to the expression of the immunoglobulin (Ig) kappa light chain. 95% of all rat B cells express the IgÎş light chain. Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads bind equally well to the Ig light chain allotypes IgÎş-1a and IgÎş-1b. B cells can be isolated from lymphoid organs and non-lymphoid tissue. Together with the Ig heavy chain, the Ig light chain is expressed on the surface of immature IgM+IgD- B cells. Furthermore, it is present on mature IgM+IgD+ B cells and memory B cells, and is down-regulated on activated B cells upon terminal differentiation into plasma cells.
Applications
B cells isolated with Anti-Rat Kappa MicroBeads from peripheral lymphoid organs or non-hematopoietic tissues are suitable, for example, for in vivo and in vitro studies on B cell development, differentiation, and migration. Highly pure B cell populations are also required for reliable cellular and molecular analyses, for example, of Ig rearrangement.
Columns
For positive selection: MS, LS, XS, or autoMACS™ Columns; for depletion: LD, CS, D, or autoMACS Columns.
