| Description |
| Rat CD45R MicroBeads have been developed for positive selection or depletion of rat B cells from bone marrow, peripheral lymphoid organs, and non-lymphoid tissue. The CD45R antigen (molecular mass: 205 kDa) is expressed throughout B cell development from the pro-B cell state on, but it is down-regulated during the differentiation of B cells into plasma cells. Expression levels of CD45R are different among distinct B cell subpopulations. Memory B cells are CD45Rlow/-. CD45R is also weakly expressed on a small subset of peripheral T cells, but is not detected on thymocytes. |
| Applications |
B cells isolated from bone marrow or peripheral lymphoid organs can be used for in vitro or ex vivo analysis of B cell lymphopoiesis and B cell migration. Furthermore, separation of B cells simplifies molecular analysis, for example, of immunoglobulin rearrangements. |
