MACS® Cooling Tube Racks

Description

MACS® Cooling Tube Racks are valuable tools for any procedure where cooling of samples is desired. Cooling of cell samples helps to sustain cell viability. The tube racks are pre-cooled in the refrigerator (2–8 °C). The special coolant contained in the tube racks switches from fluid to solid at 8 °C and maintains a low temperature until the coolant is completely melted. The phase switch is visible and occurs at 12 °C. Do not cool tube racks below 0 °C as cell samples may freeze!
MACS Cooling Tube Racks are available as a single rack and in sets of three.
The MACS Cooling Tube Racks set (130-092-990) consists of MACS Cooling Tube Racks Chill 5, Chill 15, and Chill 50. The MACS Chill 96 Rack is also available as a single rack.

Applications

Four different rack types are available: Chill 5 contains 24 slots for 5 mL tubes; Chill 15 contains 15 slots for 15 mL tubes and 5 slots for 5 mL tubes; Chill 50 contains 6 slots for 50 mL tubes, 3 slots for 15 mL tubes, and 3 slots for 5 mL tubes; Chill 96 provides a platform for 96-well microtiter plates.
MACS® Cooling Tube Racks can be used for sample preparation and in combination with the MACSQuant® Analyzer and the autoMACS® Pro Separator.
