| IL-12 Secretion Assay – Detection Kit |
|
| Overview |
| The IL-12 Secretion Assay was developed for the sensitive detection of cells secreting the p70 subunit of human IL-12. |
| Details |
Background information Interleukin-12 (IL-12) is a 70-75 kDa heterodimeric cytokine composed of a 40 kDa heavy chain and a 35 kDa light chain. It is mainly produced by monocytes and macrophages, as well as dendritic cells primarily in response to stimulation with bacterial or viral antigens. IL-12 displays various effects on both NK and T cells, playing an essential role in the interaction between innate and adaptive immunity. |

| Human PBMC depleted of CD14+ cells were stimulated for 4 hours with LPS (10 ng/mL) and for 2 hours with R-848 (2.5 μg/mL), or left untreated. The stimulated and unstimulated cells were stained using the IL-12 Secretion Assay - Detection Kit (PE). Additionally, cells were stained with CD11c-APC. |
