| Overview |
| The CD49b (DX5) antibody can be used to identify and enumerate mouse CD49b (DX5)+ cells, e. g. NK cells, by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy. |
| Details |
Background information Clone DX5 recognizes the mouse CD49b (DX5) antigen, also known as α2 integrin or very late antigen-2, which is expressed on the vast majority of mouse NK cells and on a subset of NKT cells. CD49b is not as mouse strain-restricted as other NK cell markers, for example, NK1.1, and is expressed by most common inbred mouse strains. |
