Flow cytometry is an ideal tool to investigate cell and molecular biology as it provides multiparameter analysis of single cells, providing in depth analysis of protein expression in individual cells. In addition, it allows for the rapid detection and analysis of the growing number of fluorescent protein reporters favored by cell and molecular biologist, such as GFP, CFP, mCherry, DsRed, mKate, tdTomato to name a few.
