- Gentle: viable single-cell suspensions from solid tumor tissue
- Reproducible: user-independent dissociation for consistent results
- Safe: closed system ensures sterile sample handling
CSC sample preparation that is reliable, reproducible, and rapid The analysis of tumor stem cell populations requires effective methods for tissue dissociation. The gentleMACS™ Dissociator reliably dissociates the extracellular matrix and cell adhesion components of tumor masses to obtain viable single cell suspensions. Specialized automated programs optimize the dissociation of human and mouse tumors for reproducible results in a short time. |
|
| The human tumor tissue dissociation protocol has been developed for the preparation of tumor cells from human primary melanoma tissue or melanoma metastases. Furthermore, it has been successfully used for the dissociation of human primary carcinoma and ovarian carcinoma tissues. Our protocol for implanted mouse tumors was developed for the preparation of tumor cells from mouse melanomas, carcinomas, or pancreatic tumors. |

| The removal of cell debris or dead cells is strongly recommended for reliable CSC sample preparation. Miltenyi Biotec has developed unique MACS Reagents to achieve this with convenience and effectiveness in mind. |
