Description
Anti-Fibroblast MicroBeads have been developed for the positive selection or depletion of human fibroblasts using a fibroblast-specific antigen.1 This antigen is also known to be expressed on marrow stromal cells (MSCs) and putative mesenchymal progenitor cells (MPCs) in the bone marrow.2
Applications
Applications of the Anti-Fibroblast MicroBeads include the isolation of MSCs from bone marrow aspirate or the removal of fibroblastic cells from bone marrow cultures or other primary tissue cultures. The depletion of fibroblast cells can be an effective step in the establishment of primary tumor cell lines in order to prevent fibroblastic overgrowth within the tissue culture.
