| Description |
The autoMACS™ Pro Separator is a benchtop instrument for high-speed automated cell sorting. Employing the MACS® Technology, the autoMACS Pro Separator is designed for positive selection as well as depletion of magnetically labeled cells. It combines all the benefits of the proven autoMACS Technology with novel features such as the sensor-controlled processing of multiple samples. Thus, hands-on time during cell separation is minimized. The instrument is operated via touchscreen and intuitive screen menus. Three different Cooling Tube Racks for optional sample cooling allow processing of sample volumes from 0.2 mL up to 50 mL.
Up to 2×108 pure target cells per sample can be isolated within minutes. For maximum convenience, standard MACS Buffers are available.

| Applications |
The autoMACS™ Pro Separator has been developed for automated magnetic cell sorting of multiple samples under standardized conditions. It is compatible with more than 200 MACS® Cell Separation Reagents for easy and fast isolation of virtually any cell type from any species. Ten pre-set cell separation programs allow efficient isolation of cells, even if the antigen used for selection is expressed at low levels. Furthermore, rare cells, such as CD133+ stem and progenitor cells, can be efficiently enriched.
The autoMACS Pro Separator enables cell sorting directly from whole blood or bone marrow volumes from 0.25 mL to 15 mL.
The complete compatibility of MACS Technology with flow cytometry allows the use of the autoMACS Pro Separator as a pre-sorter for speeding up flow cytometric cell sorting. |
