Hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell (HSC/HPC) research has contributed a great deal to the understanding and harnessing of hematopoieisis for use within therapeutic research applications.
Miltenyi Biotec provides integrated product solutions for cutting-edge human hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell research. All products for human HSCs/HPCs research have been optimized for direct use with one another, meaning that isolation, cultivation, and analysis of HSCs can be performed in a standardized, seamless process.
Cell separation
A broad range of high-quality cell separation reagents are available, for example for the selection of:
• HSCs/HPCs using CD34, CD133, CD117 MicroBeads or the Lineage Cell Depletion Kit
• Lineage-committed progenitor cells using CD33 or CD71 MicroBeads
Cell analysis
Miltenyi Biotec offers a wide range of products for the analysis of human cells by flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy, including a panel of unique and standard monoclonal antibodies for HSC/HPC research, such as CD34, CD133, CD117, CD33, and CD71.
Cell culture
A broad range of specially developed HSC-CFU media for the functional characterization and enumeration of HSCs/HPCs are available. MACS® HSC-CFU Media are standardized semi-solid media that provide reliable and reproducible results for the colony assays of HSCs.
Gene expression profiling
Topic-defined PIQOR™ Stem Cell Microarrays* and services for gene expression profiling of stem cells. Also available: Single-cell gene expression profiling SuperAmp™ Service** for the amplification of RNA from 1 to 100,000 cells sorted by flow cytometry, laser capture microdissection, primary cells, or tissue biopsies.
