MACS® Separation of human NK cells The role of natural killer (NK) cells within immune regulation is becoming more and more a field of interest. To ease these studies, Miltenyi Biotec offers several products for the isolation of NK cells and NK cell subsets: Isolation of untouched NK cells from blood by depletion of non-NK cells. Concurrent selection or depletion of NK cells and NKT cells using CD56 MicroBeads. Isolation of NK cells by combining CD3 depletion with CD56 positive selection. The CD56+CD16– NK Cell Isolation Kit to enrich the small subset of CD56bright NK cells, which have a high cytokine production capacity and are, thus suggested to play a role in immunoregulation. The CD56+CD16+ NK Cell Isolation Kit to isolate the main NK cell population: CD56dim NK cells, which express CD16 and KIR, and are known to be highly cytotoxic. The CD56+CD8+/CD8– NK Isolation Kit to separate CD8+ and CD8– NK cells, which were recently shown to have differential cytolytic activities.
