Miltenyi Biotec provides highly flexible cost-effective expression profiling services based on the PIQOR Technology.
Topic-defined or custom PIQOR Microarrays, consisting of 200–1,500 different genes, enable focused gene expression analysis for specific research fields. PIQOR Microarrays are available with defined topics such as immunology, dermatology, oncology, toxicology or stem cells. Moreover, the bioinformatics team will support you in designing an individual PIQOR Custom Microarray.
Further Bioinformatics Services allow in-depth analysis of gene expression data using extensive cluster and pathway analyses.
Depending on the amount of starting material, the following services are available:
Regular PIQOR™ Microarray Service requires 50 µg total RNA/sample (approx. 2×106 cells or 40 mg tissue).
PIQOR Microarray Service Plus Amplification requires 1 µg total RNA/sample (approx. 1×105 cells or 1 mg tissue). This service includes a linear T7-based amplification step prior to labeling and hybridization.
SuperAmp Service in combination with PIQOR Microarray <>Service Plus Amplification requires less starting material: 1 – 100,000 cells; for example, cells sorted with MACS® Technology, laser capture microdissected cells, cells sorted by flow cytometry and tissue biopsies.

| Custom PIQOR Microarrays |
To meet your individual gene profiling needs, custom microarrays can be generated for human, mouse, or rat gene expression analysis. The high-quality, sequence-verified PIQOR collection includes more than 25,000 different well-documented genes. Based on the PIQOR collection genes of interest can be selected and individual microarrays designed.
By tapping the proprietary discovery bioinformatics platform, novel, uncharacterized genes with reliably predicted relevance for the field of interest can be included.
The convenient PIQOR Selector software is available for the design of custom PIQOR Microarrays. |
