| MACS® Cell Separation Reagents |

MACS® Cell Separation Technology is available for human, mouse, rat and non-human primate cell isolation. For any other cell type MicroBeads for indirect magnetic labeling can be used.
MACS MicroBeads are coupled to highly specific antibodies or proteins. By placing the MACS Column inside the magnetic field of the MACS Separator, cells can be isolated with only a minimal amount of MicroBeads on the cell surface.
MACS MicroBeads:
- Small: superparamagnetic particles, approximately 50 nanometers in diameter
- Biodegradable: composed of a biodegradable matrix; therefore, there is no need to remove them after the separation process
- Straight to experiment: have no known effect on structure, function, or activity status of labeled cells and do not interfere with subsequent experiments.
MACS Technology can be used for positive isolation, depletion, and untouched isolation. By combining these strategies subsets can easily be isolated. |
