Gene Expression Profiling Service - we do it right
Miltenyi Biotec offers high-quality gene expression profiling services based on Agilent Whole Genome Microarrays for one-color and two-color experiments. These services produce accurate relative quantification of gene expression at a level far exceeding the sensitivity of other array platforms. A large number of microarrays for a variety of species are available. Please click here to get a complete list of all Agilent Whole Genome Microarrays. The Agilent Whole Genome Microarray Service requires 100 to 500 ng total RNA, 1x105 to 1x107 cells or 1 to 50 mg tissue per sample. Unmatched sensitivity – Gene expression profiling down to a few cells If you have even less starting material, for example rare cells sorted with MACS® Technology or flow cytometry, laser capture microdissected cells, or small tissue biopsies, the unique SuperAmp Service enables downstream expression profiling. Study expression profiles in FFPE samples By using the FFPE Sample Preparation Service we also make archived samples accessible for gene expression analyses. microRNA Expression Profiling Service – specificity down to a single nucleotide
Miltenyi Biotec offers two different Microarray platforms for reliable microRNA expression profiling studies.
If specificity counts The miRXplore Microarray Platform was developed by Miltenyi Biotec in close collaboration with leading scientists (Landgraf & Tuschl et al.; 2007; Cell). This microarray platform sets the benchmark in terms of specificity in microarray-based microRNA profiling analysis. With the miRXplore Microarray Service it is even possible to discriminate between closely-related microRNAs with just a single nucleotide exchange. The miRXplore Microarray Universal Reference Service is available for the comparison of multiple samples. The miRXplore Universal Reference (UR), a synthetic microRNA pool, is used for this purpose. Samples and controls are hybridized and compared to the miRXplore Universal Reference on individual microarrays. Subsequently, re-ratios are calculated to compare samples versus control, hence saving sample material. The Bioinformatics Service Absolute Quantification miRXplore further utilizes the advantages of the miRXplore Universal Reference and enables a global, absolute quantification of microRNAs (Bissels & Tuschl et al.; 2009; RNA). The defined microRNA concentration in the miRXplore Universal Reference allows to determine the absolute microRNA concentration in your sample by translating the respective signal intensities.
If sensitivity counts The Agilent microRNA Microarray Service only requires small input amounts of total RNA in the 100 nanogram range. This service uses a high-yield labeling method and does not require size fractionation or amplification steps that may introduce undesired bias during microRNA profiling.
